I have done something horrendously terrible to my back. Strain? Sprain? Something that makes it almost impossible for me to move. I had a terrible nights sleep last night, but apparently was so exhausted that sleeping in until 15.00 made me feel better, exhaustion-wise, because I do not feel sluggish.
This is not the first time this has happened. It happened the weekend my sister was showing some art down town, whenever that was (five years ago?). Apparently I need a class in how to work, move stuff, lift stuff, etc, because I think I suck at it.
But in better news, the bedroom portion of my living quarters looks really great and I'm pleased with the work I accomplished. It's so much less crowded in here, furniture pieces actually have purpose. I even used this hand made piece, with slots in it, in my closet for shoes; putting my shoes in the slots. I think it was originally made for tools or letters or something, but I didn't have a place for my shoes and now I do, and it's out of this room and being used for a better purpose now than, 'I'll just shove this stuff here, shall I?'
This room has only three wall plugs; two on the west wall and one on the north. The entrance to the playroom (extra room) is on the east wall. Do you know how many extension cords I had running in here? Twelve. Now I have six. Huge improvement!
Was going to finish my room today, but I am being forced to take it easy, which I hate because I STILL have motivation. Ugh.
In other news, it rained so much in town today that most parts are flooded. In my barely there sleep, I heard sirens, a huge boom & flash of light (meaning lightning had hit something) and I heard rain and thunder. When I woke up, it appeared that they had closed part of our road down the hill that goes over a bridge. Perhaps they did. Then next time I looked though there was a car off to the side (in the grass) and now traffic has resumed zooming down this road, so I don't know. Too tired and in pain to lift myself the mere inches it would take to look out the window over my window a/c unit.
I know I'm just rambling. But it's not like people read this so who cares.
